1. HOW DO I ACCESS TOP END STRENGTH CENTRE?You will use the TecomPlus Mobile app on your smart phone. You will be provided the details, as well your unique access credentials. You will use this let yourself in to Top End Strength Centre. The app will allow you to access the gate to the car park and the front door to Top End Strength Centre. Your access is connected to your account within our gym management system and as long as there are no issues with your account you will be able to gain access to the gym 24 hours a day. Should there be an issue with your account such as; overdue payments, account on hold, breach of rules, policies or terms and conditions, your access will be deactivated and you will not have access to the gym until the issue is resolved. If you do not have your phone you cannot access the gym unless arranged with Strength Centre management.
2. CAN I ACCESS TOP END STRENGTH CENTRE 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK AND WHAT HOURS IS THE GYM STAFFED?Yes. Our members can access Top End Strength Centre 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are currently no regular staffed hours. Top End Strength Centre may close its facility for maintenance, events or seminars, and other hours based on municipal requirements including Australian Government directions. If this occurs, you will receive notification to the email address linked to your membership, as well as to the MEMBERS of Top End Strength Centre Facebook group.
3. HOW MUCH IS THE 24/7 ACCESS?Setting up the access to the gym through the TecomPlus mobile app costs a one-off $35 fee. For new Top End Strength Centre members, management will go through the costs of your chosen membership.
4. IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION FOR 24/7 ACCESS?Adults aged 18 years and above can secure 24/7access with proof of ID. Youths aged 16 and 17 years of age can attend the gym unsupervised and are permitted 24/7 with the approval of a parent or guardian. A copy of ID will be on file as well as written permission from parent or guardian.
5. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?All members are expected to wear suitable active wear clothing at all times. When entering the premises, you must take off any head and facial clothing such as caps, hats, hoodies and helmets so our security cameras can get a clear image of you. This is for the safety of other members and yourself.
6. HOW DO I MAKE SURE I’M HYGIENIC AND KEEP THE GYM CLEAN TOO?Please stay at home if you are unwell. Sanitise your hands upon entry to the gym and wash them regularly. Give your fellow gym members space. Wear clean clothes to the gym, do not wear work clothes/boots. Use towels on gym equipment, benches and mats to maintain appropriate hygiene and safety standards. Equipment must be wiped down with the disinfectant spray provided after each use.
7. WILL THERE BE MUSIC PLAYING IN THE GYM?Yes. There is a speaker that members are able to connect to via Bluetooth. You can listen to music through your own personal device. If using your own personal device, please have it at a sound level where you can still hear what else is going on around the gym. This is for your own personal security and safety so you can hear any alarms as well as the other members within the gym.
8. WHERE CAN I PARK?Park directly in front of Unit 1 or on Coonawarra Road ONLY. Parking elsewhere within the complex is not permitted. Penalties will apply, and can result in your gate access being revoked. The parking is signed within the gym,.
9. WILL I BE SAFE WHEN USING THE GYM DURING UNSTAFFED HOURS?Yes. The Strength Centre is monitored by a comprehensive CCTV security camera system that is recording 24 hour a day, 7 days a week. There are portable emergency duress buttons available. It is your responsibility to ensure you wear a duress button when you are using the gym during unstaffed hours. The CCTV in conjunction with the electronically activated door and duress lanyards ensures a level of personal security to you. However, these precautions in no way protect you completely. You must use discretion, awareness and common sense when evaluating your own personal safety when entering, exiting and training within the Strength Centre. It is recommended that you keep your mobile phone near you so you can call 000 if needed. In the case of an emergency, for example, if you need medical help for yourself or another user, or if you are, or feel threatened/unsafe, you can press the duress button and the security company and Strength Centre management will be contacted, they will check the cameras and notify the appropriate emergency service. There are significant fines that are incurred to the user for false or inappropriate use of the duress buttons. Please note: video recordings can only be accessed by an authorised staff member. Video recordings of any specific incident may be released to the complex Body Corporate in the event of a security breach and may also be released to NT Police or Federal Police subject to the execution of a search warrant or other legal process, and only with the approval of Top End Strength Centre’s Director. 10. CAN I SHARE MY ACCESS WITH ANYONE, OR CAN I LET ANYONE INTO THE PREMISES?No. Your access ID and pin belong to you. It is strictly prohibited for a member to permit entry to another person at any time, for any reason whatsoever. The security of Top End Strength Centre and its members is paramount, any unauthorised access will result in you forfeiting your access, restricting your 24 hour use. 12. HOW DO THE LIGHTS WORK IN THE GYM?There is a sensor light that will turn on when you are approximately 5m from the entrance.The gym light switch is available on the right-hand side of the entrance door. It is unnecessary for the lights to be on during the day. Please turn the lights off if you are the last to leave.
13. CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN OR PETS INTO THE GYM DURING UN-STAFFED HOURS?No, children and pets are not allowed to be brought onto the premises during un-staffed hours under any circumstances. 14. CAN I TURN ON/OFF THE FANS?Yes. The fans within the gym can be turned on using power outlet. If you are the last to leave the gym, please turn them off. 15. CAN I OPEN AND CLOSE THE ROLLER DOORS?The front roller door is operated by a controller. You turn it left to “open” and hold it in place to open the roller door. When you have opened it as far as would like, return the switch back to “off”. To close the door, turn the switch to “off”.The roller door has a safety mechanism and an auto-close function. If no movement is detected in the gym for 10 minutes, it will automatically close. There is a mechanism in place to make sure it will not close if there is something/someone obstructing the door, if it is not closing all the way, check there is nothing obstructing its path. The rear roller door is operated by a chain. Please ensure the latch is unlocked before you try to open it. Close this door and latch it if you are the last to leave. 16. WHAT HAPPENS IN AN EMERGENCY?The gym has emergency duress buttons on lanyards. It is your responsibility to ensure you wear/carry a duress button at all times when using the gym during un-staffed hours. In the case of an emergency, for example, if you need medical help for yourself or another user, or if you are, or feel threatened/unsafe, you can press the button and the security company and Strength Centre management will be contacted, they will check the cameras and notify the appropriate emergency service. 17. DO I HAVE TO WEAR/CARRY THE EMERGENCY DURESS BUTTON LANYARD?It is your responsibility to wear/carry the emergency duress button lanyard during un-staffed hours and when training alone. It is vitality important for your health and safety that you wear/carry the duress button lanyard and it is recommended that you keep your mobile phone near you so you can call 000 in the case of an emergency. The emergency duress button lanyards are kept on the wall of the office, near the entry door. The lanyard has a push button that alerts our security company that you are in distress, the security company will communicate with Strength Centre Management and they will alert the appropriate emergency service to come to your aid. Please note: If you falsely set off the emergency duress button, you will be liable for the cost of any emergency service. 18. CAN I KEEP ANY OF THE DOORS OPEN OR PUT ITEMS IN DOORWAYS?It is strictly prohibited for anyone at any time in the premises to prop open any of the doors, or to place any object against a door that could restrict access to any of the doors or doorways. If a member breaches this policy they will forfeit their 24 hour access. 19. DO I HAVE ACCESS TO A FIRST AID KIT?Yes, there is a First Aid kit located on the wall in the kitchen. For minor first aid issues you can access the first aid kit, for major first aid issues or major medical emergencies please contact Strength Centre management or the security company via the emergency duress button lanyards and they will notify the appropriate emergency service to assist you. 20. WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A BLACKOUT / POWER FAILURE?If at any time, there is a blackout/power failure the Strength Centre will still be operational with our Uninterruptible Power Supply. If you have parked in the car park and the gates are closed, there is a lockbox on site with an override key and one of the owner occupiers will open the gate using the key for you to exit the car park. Please note: We also recommend downloading a “torch application” to your phone, you can use the torch if there is a blackout/power failure the use of your personal torch will further improve your visibility and safety. 21. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU SEE A FIRE ONSITE OR HEAR A FIRE ALARM?If at any time you hear a fire alarm go off within the building or you see a fire on site please contact the security company via the duress button, and also call “000” from your mobile phone. The security company will notify emergency services and Top End Strength Centre Management. If you require access to a fire extinguisher there is one situated next to the main entrance door of the Strength Centre. It is recommended that once you have contacted emergency services, that you evacuate the building. Please refer to the evacuation procedure signs located at the exit. Please note: If you falsely set of the emergency duress button, you may be liable for any costs incurred. 22. EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDUREIf you are required to evacuate the building for any emergency reasons please follow our evacuation procedure:1. Look for EXIT sign and make your way in an orderly manner to the Emergency Exit.2. If you are the last person to exit a room close the door behind you.3. Once outside the building proceed to the Assembly Area (Refer to Evacuation Procedure signage located at the exit)4. Do not wander away from the Assembly Area, remain at the assembly area until emergency services personnel advise that it is safe to leave or re-enter the building.Please Note: The Fire Exit for Top End Strength Centre is via the front door to the gym, and then across to the Assembly Point. If the complex gate is closed, wait for an owner occupier with access to the gate key to open it and let you out. Wait at Assembly Point until the emergency services arrive. 23. WHAT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CENTRE’S SECURE ACCESS SYSTEM?If there is a problem with any component of the security system E.g. the gates or doors are not opening, please call Commtech Security for technical support on 0448 413 000. If you notice damage/vandalism to any property of Top End Strength Centre or you notice any criminal activity, you are required to call our security control room immediately and report the issue on 7285 6350. These contact numbers are available 24/7. 24. WHAT OTHER THINGS SHOULD I BE AWARE OF IN REGARDS TO 24/7 USAGE OF THE GYM?• At all times please be respectful of other members using the gym.• At all times please be respectful of the other businesses and their customers operating from 128 Coonawarra Road complex.• At all times be aware that the cameras and security system are watching, so please abide by our rules and regulations.• Ensure that you have read, understand and agree to abide by all of Top End Strength Centre’s membership Terms and• Conditions. These have been emailed to you upon sign-up and can be sent again if requested.• At all times follow the directions of Top End Strength Centre staff. Especially in emergency situations and matters relating to the health, safety and security of an individual or the facility.
